A bit disturbing ...

Yesterday I was in the area, near where the iguanas live. It was getting kind of late but I decided to stop by anyway, it's been weeks since I've paid them a visit. See them HERE and HERE.

This was the first time I stopped by so late in the day and was more than a little surprised to find that there was not a single iguana to be found. NOT ONE!

I've visited them at different times of day. Sometimes it seems that there are hundreds, sometimes only a dozen or so. But None???

I decided to chalk it up to being there at the wrong time of day, that is until I got back in my car and noticed a new sign.

It's big and it's red, don't know how I could have missed it to begin with.

I hope they didn't do what I think they could have done to my iguanas! I'm not going to let myself get upset "YET." Tomorrow I'll stop by during the day to check up on them, I'll let you know how it goes.

BTW ... I know it's been a while since I've updated, so much going on with my job. Don't have the (well what ever it takes) to write about it right now, let's just say it has something to do with both "Visine, get the red out" and "I heard that some diamonds just fell into your lap." Sorry for being so vague, it's just like most people, my job is quite important to me and when all is not going as well as expected, it can really be stressful.

More about it later, just know that everything is ok now but this has been a really looooong 2 weeks. Happy weekend all, I'll let you know about the iguanas.

I can sort of understand the not feeding iguanas and ducks, but at the same time for them to just disappear.......

Hi Coy,
Just wanted to say hello again. I haven't been on line much myself. Suffice it to say that "stuff" happens everywhere. lol How is  that other internet service you switched to going for  you? Are you still with it as well? Its nice to see that you always find time to stop and smell the roses and check on Iguanas. That is something I've always admired about you.Well get some rest and Have a great day.

OH....I hope you find them on your next visit.

I also hope that things settle down for you at work.

A sign like that went up at our favorite duck and goose feeding spot on the lake. It really sucks!

We have a lot of iguanas in some areas on my side of the state too. I have heard talk about possible "solutions" -- I sure hope that's not what's going on. Hope you find them all there when you go back to visit. Just a shame :-(

Checking in on you....
Hope the iguanas are ok and that the job things are gonna work out.  Yes, I hate it too when the job gets stressful.  ick.

I will be hoping that someone just didn't like the plastic wrappers from the bread hanging around. I think someone poured some chlorine into the pond near me, but I guess not enough, since the fish are still swimming around, but the geese seem to have moved to another pond for awhile. What is wrong with some people?

Maybe they read the sign and knew they weren't getting any more free meals and decided to move to another lunch counter?

Oddly enough, we just went over to feed the ducks at "duck pond" today and a sign was there prohibiting it...I am wondering if it is a bird flu thing???  Anyway, I pray your lizard buddies are okay...I still miss our baby one who was stolen...

love, Kas

oh no! did you figure out what happened?  why don't they want you to feed the iguanas?  the only place you see iguanas around these parts is in the petstore, would be so cool to see them out in the wild!
