So much to do about nothing ...

    this time!

Obviously the biggest news in my little corner of the world over the past few days has been Ernesto. Although we expect these storms (they are common place here) we still have a little preparing to do when we know one is on it's way.

Shutters up, gas tank full, ice and plenty of drinking water. Canned foods, flash light, candles, and a radio with batteries ... check, check, check, check, check

One final grocery store run for extra toilet paper, paper plates, napkins and maybe some fun hurricane snacks. Then a plan to simply settle in and enjoy a relaxing hurricane day or two. This is sort of our way of making up for the snow days that we don't get here in South Florida.

There is never any real way to tell just how severe the storm will be when it finally gets here, this time we're just getting a lot of rain and some wind. Of course I am in no way disappointed that Ernesto did not turn into a hurricane, but this so much to do about nothing, is actually quite inconvenient.

Glad it didn't turn out too bad.  We sure got a storm from it here in Atlanta in the wee hours of the morning!

Yea...we just heard from Stu's parents in Boynton that they're fine.  Glad you are too!

So glad to know that the storm isn't as bad as they thought it would be.  We are expecting tons of rain and wind from it here in NC.

Take care.  Hurricane snacks sounds good.  Whatcha got?

Heavy snow and ice warnings can be pretty inconvenient too - but they are better than the ones that are dead on!

I think we're getting the remnants of it up here in PA today.  Rained like a son of a gun all day long.  I'm glad to hear that it wasn't bad for down there.

Hey there.  Well, I guess you made it thru Ernesto pretty well.  I hear there is another TD out there in the Atlantic....I was glad Ernesto calmed down some and didn't pack as much of a punch as it looked like it could.  Take care.

You may have seen the pic of the Studio's bathroom.  Evidently, Ernie decided to unleash his fury in New Jersey!

Grr at AOL!!! Most of the RSS feeds are broken. I was just randomly clicking and checking my blogroll to see why some folks haven't posted in a long time...and they HAVE posted! Look at all the entries I've missed. Ack!  We lost our power twice and some tree limbs, but it wasn't TOO bad. So... how are you? :-)
