A New Favorite Place!

The NexStore  <-- is a brand new gas station near my office. Not only is it a gigantic gas station with low prices and valet parking but it is also 12,500 sq. ft of chef prepared gourmet delights to go.

No produce, no packaged foods, nothing in a can, just enormous quantities of the finest prepared foods imaginable.

Theirs an Amazing Sushi Bar, Sandwich Chef, Salad's Galore, there are Frozen Drinks and a Pasta Bar, Soups and Wood Burning Pizza Ovens, Rotisseries and a Hot Lunch Bar, Vegetarian Dishes and a Bakery with any Desert you could possible imagine.

It is a little pricey but hey, so is cooking for 1 or even for 2 for that matter. If any of you are out there with a whole lot of money your looking to invest in a great new idea, something like this could be it. People are going to eat and they are going to try to get out of cooking if they can. Hmmm ... cooking .... I may never have to cook again. Now if we could only convince them to deliver! lol

Anything like this in your neighborhood?

now theres a concept!!! valet parking in a gas station!! lol In Boston, the "valets" park the cars in the gas station next door to the italian restraunts in the North End.lol space is so tight here that they actually use the closed gas stations at night for parking and the gas stations of course get paid for the courtesy. I think they make more money on that than they do gas!! lol  In any case, yours looks really cool and wish they could have something like that around here but the idea of healthy, gourmet food is slowly coming this way. Our gas stations though are expanding to mini marts though but not with that kind of service and offerings.

Shoot girl, the only thing even remotely close here is a little ma & pop convenience store down the road...no home cooked or even remotely edible food, but they're good for that last minute gallon of milk, bag of ice, or 2 liter of diet coke, lol.

I hope we get one someday - NM is usually a few years behind the times, but one can hope, right?

WE DON'T HAVE A PLACE LIKE THAT BUT WISH WE DID

Nothing like that here but it sounds like something we should expect to see popping up everywhere.

Nearest we get where I am is a mobile fish & chip van on Monday evenings. Soggy chips and more batter than fish.

Nope, nothing like that here, but it sure sounds nice!

I was just grateful to find a gas station about 10 miles away that will pump gas. We have gas stations and we have fresh gourmet food, but not in the same place.

Wow! This could be my favorite place too.  I am saving the link so I can check where is the nearest one from where I am. Thanks for sharing.

I would LOVE a place like this nearby... it's a great idea, and I'm always amazed by how lousy prepared food usually is, in Supermarkets, etc.  --Albert

Nothing like this in my neighborhood. I live in a small town, but I sure could go for it since I hate cooking. We just now got a tea room and we think that is pretty up-town. lol  Paula
