Sending You Some Sunshine!

For all of you in the North, that have had so much snow and ice to deal with and for all of you on the West Coast with all of that rain that you are getting ... is it any wonder that things have felt a little gloomy here in J-Land?

I've always heard of Cabin Fever, Winter Blues and Seasonal Affective Disorder but living here in South Florida, it's not something that we deal with on the same level as some of you in from different areas.

Reading some of your journals, it very obvious that the lack of light and sunshine has greater affect on people that I ever imagined.

If I could, I would package some of our sunshine up and send it your way, since that's not possible I'll just keep sending these bright sunny photos.

Sun and Warmth would be nice here in Tennessee.  We are suffering from tummy situations and colds and so forth.  ICK.  Soon to be in Florida with all the sun late March.....woo hoo!

Boston is brrrrrery cold 25 degrees and more snow on the way come Monday. Looking at lush green anything is warming to the heart and soul. We've only got another month or little more and then we're into spring!!ahhhhh!! The seasons will be changing soon. I think thats what I like best in this neck of the woods.

Ahhh...that's pretty. Where was that taken?

awww thanks!!!
I have noticed it even affecting my 3 year old's temperment so I insist that if it is not raining he gets out even if it is just walking around the block. On the days he doesn't get out the meltdowns increase ten-fold.
There was some sun as I got into work Saturday afternoon, with the rain and a GLORIOUS rainbow....and then it went away.

Thanks for the sunshine!  It has been very dreary here and we are having rain and cold temps for the next few days.  Any kind of sun and warmth is appreciated.  Thanks!!!!!!!

It's strange today was cold but sunny. We are getting several inches of snow again tonight. We have only had one significant other snow here in the Northeast. I can't wait for my flowers I planted last Fall to pop up in the Spring. Easter is so early this year! Thanks for the sunshine, Nelle

Oh, you have no idea how ugly it is! We have more than half a foot of new snow. I haven't seen sunshine in a while. I swear February has 300 days in it. If my daughter would go with me, I'd move your way in no time at all!

The sun sure does affect those of us in no calif~!  We can go weeks with no sign of the sun.  I am turning '50' next week and your entries suggest places I wish I could have gone 10 yrs ago instead of just now.  Life is flying past me at record speed.  I am also alone. I hate being alone. No children.  I hope to find my soul mate to share the rest of my life with and in the mean time I hope to become more accepting of who I am and try to learn to enjoy being alone and to grow as an individual so I can ultimately add to that special man, not subtract from him.  Make any sense? Enjoy your sunshine! I'll keep checking your journal for some east coast insight/wisdom!  Your pictures are beautifull! I remember reading "life is not a dress rehersal" ~~ it is so true!  My brother passed away in Nov. last year at 46!  I never thought I'd lose my little brother....enjoy life everyone NOW~!  Each day we need to treasure.  Each other we need to treasure.  Hugs!!!!!

Thank you so much!!  I never thought I'd say this in a million years, but I miss the sunshine.  Here in Albuquerque we have learned to treasure the rain, but good grief this is ridiculous.  At least the drought is getting relief, right?

Thanks again - I'll pine away at your photos!

Thanks Coy!  My feet are soaking in the lovely warm water right now!  I can feel the sun on my skin and the warm air...ahhh, Florida.  With another 8" of snow on the ground, I am sort of regretting last years lament, 'we don't seem to get as much snow as we did when we were kids'.  I love it, but it's time for it to go away!

This picture definitly makes me forget (although momentarily) the white stuff falling outside, yet again.  Thanks for the little pick-me-up you provided with this entry.

Thank you for sharing the sunshine.  We have sun here in Idaho, but the temperature isn't quite there yet at 35 degrees.  ~Dona
