They say that there is no such thing as a truly black flower but I think these Lilies are about as close as you can get. When I lived in Louisiana I had some of these, I thought they were absolutely beautiful and exotic. I haven't seen them around in years.
I took these photos at Butterfly World on Saturday, I still think they are beautiful and thought you might want to see them since they are so Halloween like.
Happy Tuesday all

Never seen anything like them!!! Very strange and unusual and fitting for Halloween. They remind me of Little Shop Of Horrors lol.

That sure is a pretty flower! I've never seen anything like that. It's almost creepy but still very stunning!
Coy, they are gorgeous!!!
A wonderful Halloween flower. I have never seen anything as close to a black flower than the lilies in those pictures.
oooooo! I have never seen these before. One of my favorite flowers is the purple rose, for the very same reason... they used to be quite rare. These are delightful and very Halloween like!

You really take lovely photos, Coy.
I took some photography classes in college and did a wonderful photo essay on Villa Marre in Little Rock, Arkansas. It's better known as the house that is seen on the credits of Designing Women. I wish I could find them. Since that time, I have not picked up a camera for any artistic endeavor. Maybe I'll take it up rather than husband hunt.

Gorgeous! Can we get a real-close-up view? Cool to see how alive they are in their darkness. ;)
