are to be expected now and then if you live in South Florida. Because we are in the midst of a 30 year severe weather cycle ... we are just seeing them a little more often these days.
Wilma was a little different from most storms, she was very unpredictable from the start. She was expected to hit us from the West Coast as a cat 2 or 3 and loose strength as she made her way across the state to hit us as a 1 or hopefully even just a tropical storm.
Luckily we've been through this enough times to know that if you are expecting a 1 you should prepare for at least a 2 and it seems that most of us did just that. While we did take the usual measures to protect ourselves and our property ... we did not really expect or prepare for the strong cat 3 winds that Wilma brought.
BTW ... my choice for J-link du jour is called Commander in Ads and was posted to the Bill's Musings Journal. Bill was my very first reader here at Dancing in the Rain and for a while my only reader, I'll never forget him for that.
Life as a programing director, keeping us up to date on what the networks are carrying along with his musings about a life filled with women (3 daughters and a wife) makes this journal worth reading.
I've always felt that this was one of those best kept secret journals, and although he has been away for a while ... I for one am glad to see him back. Please stop by to say hi.
More hurricane photos and details to come ... still very limited on time right now and as for the Halloween entry, I'm on the far rightin both photos. Happy Thursday all.

You have developed a penchant for gross understatement! I hope everything gets back to normal before my return to your "sunshine" state!
I'm just glad you made it through Wilma okay. This storm really wreaked havoc on your part of the world.

I read somewhere they they are retiring Wilma's name.. something about retiring the names of hurricaines that are 'unusual'! I don't remember now where I read it though. Darn it!
