Eye of the Hurricane ...

We did receive a direct hit by the storm, that means we saw the worst part of both sides. We lost electricity and some of our trees during the first half of the storm ...

Photo top right was the end of our electricity for exactly a week. Glad that I was in Dallas with my job most of that week, don't like cold showers.

The last three photos were taken directly behind the house, having these wires down affected hundreds of my neighbors and prevented them from being able to enter and exit the roads to their homes, so they created a makeshift super highway back there ... UGH!

During the eye of the storm we had about 45 minutes to go out and assess the damages, didn't take long to figure out that some of our closest neighbors had been hit pretty hard.

Sorry you had the potential for cold showers...not a bad trade off though considering.  Glad you are safe. ;)  C.  http://journals.aol.com/gdireneoe/thedailies

scary photos, thank God you are okay, although I'm sorry to read some of your neighbors didn't fare so well damage wise.
