Quickie Entry

So getting off work at 3:00 on Tuesday was much better than getting off work at 10:00, it felt like I had so much more time on my hands. I had time to come home and get some laundry and a few other things done around here, go to the gym, meet some friends at Barnes and Noble and get home before 11:00 pm. I don't think it will take long to adjust to the new schedule.

Night time is a much busier time at the gym, coupled with the fact that it's January, you know ... everyone's New Year resolutions and all. It was really hard to find a parking space.

I hear the way people complain about the people that complain about having to park a little distance from the gym and walk. I am one of those people that prefers a good parking spot no matter where I'm going ... I admit it and I'm not going to make an exception for the gym.

It was also no easy task getting a piece of cardio equipment to use either, I have never seen the place as busy as last night at 7:00. A lot of promotions going on I suppose, the time to act on peoples impulse to buy a membership that they will only use for a month or so is now.

The photo above is of the hibiscus bush by my back door. Every bloom on that plant is different and it never ceases to amaze me. HERE <-- is a look at some of the mid summer blooms last year.

I should imagine that the gym would be very busy at this time of year, wonder how many will stick to it.  I adore Hibiscus, one of my favourites.  I wish they would grow here but they can only be houseplants xxxxxx

The hibiscus is so pretty! I wish I can motivate myself to go to the gym. I always want to lose weight but I can't seem to talk myself into doing it.

Our gym is packed at night too.  You're right though....the new year's resolutions will fade.  I've had to park FAAAAAARRRR when I've had a night class to teach.  And when it's 10 degrees outside...that's not fun.

I totally feel your pain with the new years resolutionists.  There's actually a line at the gym to use anything...I'm ready for it to die back down again!!

The pic is gorgeous!

yes, I understand the gym thing.  right now
I have a lot of customers trying to quite smoking (which I applaud and encourage!)
it's hard I would imagine, as I stand there ready to check out there stuff, and there all sitting behind me. :p

Beautiful flower! I agree on the gym. A lady going alone should be parked as close to the building as she can, especially after dark. Nothing to do with the walking distance - it's a safety issue. The gym traffic will die down after Valentine's Day. It always does.

Actually, the long walk from the parking lot to the front door should save you from having to spend another 2 or 3 minutes on the treadmill.  LOL  When I was trying to lose all my weight, I always made a point of parking WAY out in the middle of nowhere.  Every bit of walking counted.  These days, I tend to look for a good parking spot.  That could be why my backside is slowly expanding.  LOL  Gotta work on that.  :P

LOVE the photo....do not love the gym, lol. I can only handle going when it's really quiet. To many sweaty people when it's busy....yuk ; )

That flower is beautiful!  Not only does the flower look like it came from an award winning garden, but the photo itself captures the beauty of the flower so well!  The photo should win an award too!  You take such awesome pictures and you obviously grow beautiful flowers.
