Under The Boardwalk

Sunflower Kat, went to the beach at Avon By The Sea, in New Jersey today. Her story and pictures brought me back to 1980 when I lived in Atlantic City on Michigan Avenue, just a block or so from the beach.

This is the only photo I have of that beach way back then. I call it "Under the Boardwalk" even though it is a photo underneath a pier, connected to the Boardwalk. (I was standing "Under the Boardwalk when I took it!)

I remember that day like it was yesterday. I was with a few friends, taking random photos with my new camera that I saved up to buy from the Pawn Shop.

Mmmm... Good friends, fresh air, sunshine and a little saltwater taffy! Wish I was there right now.

Penny, maybe I will go to the beach tomorrow.

Wildflower, thank you, it is still one of my favorite photos. I was 16 years old when I took it.

Bill, I wrote saltwater taffy but I was really thinking Pizza. There was a Mom and Pop store on the Boardwalk near Resorts that made the worlds best pizza. I just can't remember the name.

Phinney, I've never been to New Hampshire and I agree that the 80's were wonderfully carefree.

Ahhhhhh....Isn't there something amazing and calming about water.  **sighs**
I don't care where it is, just the SOUND of it comforts.  **another sigh**
The 80's.....lol....and to think VH1 has a entire SERIES devoted to the 80's and it's CLASSIC music. ( I remember when the 60's music was called CLASSICS...lol)

yes! I remember this.......I thought about taking photos "under the boardwalk" when I was there the other day....but the tide was up.....and I would have had to crawl under there, LOL......great photo........thanks for bringing me back here to reminisce!!

yea, I voted AC too......of coarse, why wouldn't I, it's just a hop skip and jump for me! LOL.......so now it's two conferences you are telling me, with two different groups of people?  I'm not sure I get that either.  Oh well.  I'll probably stop by the AC group since it's so close.  But doesn't seem fair for those who have to choose to take a "big" trip to one of two places, and choose which set of folks to hang out with.....
