It isn't going to come easy.

For so long now, I've spent my life teaching her, protecting her and loving her and soon it will be time to give her wings.

It is hard to imagine releasing her into this world that I have spent so much time preparing her for.

You put so much effort into trying to be the perfect Mother, trying to be understanding, helpful and loving.

And then you have to come to terms with the fact that you won't be able to live her life for her or be in control of the direction that she will choose.

She will relish her freedom, just as I did at that age. It isn't going to come easy, giving her wings.

beautiful entry with the perfect photograph chosen......yes, it's not easy, but you do all you can and your hard work, lessons and love will guide them the rest
of the way :-)

Change is difficult for many of us.  But remember, as she grows wings, so will you.  Life may become different with this change...but that doesn't mean it will be worse.  Love and strength to you Coy.

I can't yet imagine what this will be like.  I imagine it's difficult for all mothers to take their hands off the wheel when it comes to their children - it has to be terribly scary and overwhelmingly sad.  But you're a good mother .. I can tell that by the way you write.. and I know that she'll make her way in life, in a way that will make you proud.  ::hugs::
