Friday night continued.

The place was packed, it looked like parking was going to be a problem and I heard Mandy, the voice of reason say "Mom, its a school night and the place is packed. Let's go somewhere a little less crowded and we will come to see Rona a little earlier next time." (yes, beauty school on Saturdays.)

The voice of reason, sometimes it's hard to tell which one of us is the Mom. Truth be known she wasn't feeling her best. Mandy has also always been known for her preference to instant gratification, especially when it comes to food. She claims that she is working on it. Doing her best to slow down, savor the momennt and enjoy the company a little more. At least she knows it's an issue. I'll let you know how it goes.

We ended up at Carrabbas Itialian Grill. Very quiet, the food was good and we had lots of time to talk. Not sure when I'll have the opportunity to spend 7 or 8 uninterupted hours with my 17 year old daughter on a friday again, just happy I got to last night.

Congratulations. I was given two hours with my 15 year old when I took her to a nice restaurant Thursday night instead of McD's. My wife and mid daughter were at the Josh Groban concert and it was just the two of us. Those two hours priceless, for everthing else there's ........

Aww, seems like you and your daughter have a good relationship. Nice that you spend time together. School on Saturdays? Ugh. Now THAT's dedication! :)
