Ummm, this is where Christmas is ...

Last Christmas was very traditional. Yep ... pretty much like every other Christmas (click HERE and HERE for photos.) But with 6 out of the 9 members of our small family, not home this year for Christmas, tradition sort of went right out the window.

Normally (well always) we have Christmas Eve dinner together, stay up late and then have Christmas breakfast and gift exchange together the next morning in our P.J's.

This year it was just Mom, Dad and myself for Christmas breakfast and ... no dinner together until tomorrow night when my sister and her family are back from their "Cozy Little Christmas In A Cabin In The Carolina's." Ahem ... you go and change things 40 something years later?

I did my best to be a good sport about things, I made alternate plans with some friends which happened to work out great (photos to come). But ... I have a message for the missing six, hear this and take note. "This is where Christmas is," next time just be here.

Christmas can be tough, Coy.
Been sharing my kids with the EX every holiday for the past 7 years.
I hate it, but thats life.  Changes happen...Hopefully next year things will be different for you, as for me, one day with the ex & one day with me.  Thats hard for my kids, I know they don't enjoy driving on Christmas morning (an hour)to be with the other parent.
Hope you enjoy your Christmas gathering~

You can't be changing family traditions! Tell your siblings to get their stuff together! rich
